Nature of the service

Catchupbooks is a free, client-side browser tool that helps organise bank and credit card statement data into a month-by-month catch-up planning checklist. It is not accounting software, not a tax advisory service, and not a replacement for a qualified accountant or tax professional.

The service is provided as-is, without any warranty or guarantee of fitness for a particular purpose beyond the described client-side operation.

No accounts, no data storage

Catchupbooks does not require or support user accounts. No personal data is collected, stored, or transmitted. All data processing occurs in the user's browser. The tool does not set cookies, does not use analytics or tracking services, and does not load external resources beyond the web fonts used for page rendering.

No professional advice

The output of Catchupbooks is an organised list of transactions grouped by calendar month, with automatic flags for transactions above a user-set threshold, recurring descriptions, and statistically unusual amounts. These flags are mechanical — they do not constitute accounting or tax advice. Whether a particular expense is deductible, claimable, or reportable depends on the user's country, circumstances, and applicable tax law, and Catchupbooks does not and cannot evaluate any of these.

Users should consult a qualified accountant or tax professional for advice specific to their situation.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Catchupbooks and its operator disclaim all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the tool. The tool is provided at no cost, with no server infrastructure, and with no guarantee of availability, accuracy, or completeness.

Billing and payments

Current status — free. Catchupbooks is a free, client-side tool. No payment is required, no billing information is collected, and no charges are made. The Free tier described on the pricing page is the complete tool.

Future paid tier (Premium). If and when a paid Premium subscription becomes available, this section will govern those charges. The operator plans to offer a monthly subscription billed in advance through Stripe, the payment processor. The price, billing period, and feature list will be stated on the pricing page at launch.

Payment processor and billing. Any paid subscription will be processed by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. By subscribing, you authorise the operator to charge your chosen payment method at the stated interval. If a charge fails, Stripe will retry the payment automatically up to three times over approximately five days. After the final failed attempt, access to any paid features will be suspended. You will be notified by email at the address you provide and can update your payment method at any time to reinstate access.

Refund policy. If a paid subscription becomes available, refunds will be handled on a case-by-case basis. You may cancel at any time; cancellation stops future billing but does not entitle you to a refund for the current billing period already paid. For billing issues, contact catchupbooks@agen2ic.ai.

Current test mode. The checkout form shown on the pricing page at this time uses Stripe in test mode. It does not process real payments or store real card details. No charge will be made.

Intellectual property

Catchupbooks, its name, logo, and visual identity are the property of its operator. Users may not reproduce, redistribute, or modify the tool's code or branding for commercial purposes without permission.

Governing law and jurisdiction

No legal entity has been registered for this product yet. The operator must supply the entity name, address, and jurisdiction before these terms bind anyone. Until then, these terms serve as an honest statement of the product's capabilities and limitations rather than a legally binding contract.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the product evolves. The "Last updated" date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the tool after changes to these terms constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
